Montgomery Upper Middle School Kitchen Piping Replacement Project
Completed: June-August 2016
Scope of Work: This summer project was to replace all of the sanitary waste piping under the kitchen floor of a middle school. We x-rayed and saw cut the concrete floor, excavated trenches, replaced approximately 200’ of cast iron piping in the ground with new cast iron pipe, replaced numerous electrical lines in the concrete floor, poured a new concrete floor, installed new tile and re-installed the kitchen equipment.
Lead Service Line Replacements
Scope of Work: This on-going work that we have been doing since 2021 involves working for several water companies to replace their lead service lines into customer houses and buildings. We coordinate the work with the property owners and inspectors, and minimize down time without water to the property. We use various methods to renew the water service lines- directional drilling, pipe pulling/bursting or traditional excavation depending on the circumstances at each site. Once the new pipe is installed, we also take car of site restoration, including landscaping repairs, retaining walls, topsoil and grass seed and concrete and asphalt repairs.
YMCA New Mechanical Equipment
Completed: During one week in August 2016
Scope of Work: This one of a kind project involved replacing the mechanical plant for a busy YMCA during a one week shut down. We installed new gas piping, two new water heaters, two new storage tanks, three new pool heaters, a new circulator, and associated water piping and stainless steel vent piping, along with a new water booster pump and storage tank.
Large Meter Replacement Project
Scope of Work: Working for the Southeast Morris County MUA, along with various private and public facility owners, we have replaced over 100 large water meters, ranging in size from 2” up to 8” over the past four years. Many of these are in meter pits where we have to make confined space entries in order to perform the work. We coordinate with the facility owners to minimize disruptions to the site. We also have replaced numerous large valves, check valves and backflow preventers, along with piping, as part of this work.
New Bottle Filling Station Installations at Various Schools
Completed: In approximately 30 different school districts, we have installed over 1000 new bottle fill stations in the past seven years
Scope of Work: We have installed numerous different bottle filling stations. Many of the installations involve opening masonry walls to relocate piping, framing the opening, closing the wall and installing decorative paneling to cover the wall. We then mount the new bottle filling station on the paneling for a clean finished look.
New Water Heaters at Elementary School
Completed: August 2016
Scope of Work: We removed an existing commercial water heater and 1000 gallon storage tank from the mechanical room at an elementary school, and installed two new gas-fired A.O. Smith high efficiency commercial water heaters. This improvement project has saved the school money on their gas and electric bills, along with cleaning up the mechanical room, and giving them more space.
Trenchless Sewer Replacement at Elementary School
Completed: September 2021
Scope of Work: This rush project was an emergency replacement of a 325-foot sewer line with a new tap on the city main right before school started. We pipe burst a 90-foot section under the parking lot behind the school, and burst a 180-foot section down the driveway, increasing the pipe from a 4” pipe to a 6” pipe in the process. We excavated and replaced an approximately 65’ section where other lines from the building tied in. We also installed a new tap on the 12’ deep city main line, and restored the concrete, asphalt and grass.
